The Fall 2017 Narrative Nonfiction Project Intensive will run over a series of seven evenings starting Tuesday, Oct. 3 and concluding Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at Homestead in downtown Edmonton.

The program will focus on the fundamentals of nonfiction and memoir writing, including specialized reporting and interviewing techniques, narrative structure, developing scene and character, and how to successfully pitch and sell your work.

Classes include seminars on the principles of nonfiction, as well as discussion and workshopping of student pieces in small groups and one-on-one sessions with established mentors.

Participants apply with an idea for a 1,500-3,000 word piece which will be workshopped, edited and refined over the course of the program. Participants will complete the program with a polished piece ready to publish.

The cost of the program is $495 per person. Two scholarships are available.
